MMA Grappling by Bruno Azevedo
Bruno Azevedo is the MMA/Wrestling Coach at Phuket Fight Club and is also a Professional MMA athlete at ONE Championship. He holds a BJJ Black Belt and shared his knowledge during the class through instructional drills. Bruno walked through MMA moves that fighters will experience first-hand in a fight and how to defend against such moves.
Bruno “Macaco” Azevedo started professionally fighting back in 2008 and has shown his strength in MMA throughout the years by finishing opponents through submission and knockouts. Bruno has a wealth of knowledge and aims to share this knowledge with all the athletes that come through his class at Phuket Fight Club.
Why Grappling MMA?
While striking is essential in MMA, it’s important to have the balance of strong grappling skills to be a well-rounded and dangerous fighter. Bruno provided tips to the class attendees and worked with all levels of athletes to help them improve their grappling MMA.
Can you stay at Phuket Fight Club?
Yes! You can stay right at the training center as they provide accommodation for their athletes. They also have a cafe on site and offer more than just MMA, BJJ, and Muay Thai classes, but have a whole area for CrossFit as well. We loved the community at Phuket Fight Club and instantly felt welcomed and right at home. With some of the top athletes training at their gym, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area, or booking a ticket to get some top-notch training in.
