ONE Fight Night 14 continues to gear up in Singapore as weigh-ins are completed and face-offs go down. It was a close call for hydration and weigh-ins as multiple fighters almost missed weight, including Stamp Fairtex.
Stamp Fairtex Close Call at Weigh-In
Most fighters weighed-in and passed their hydration tests with ease, but some of the athletes felt a bit more pressure in the 3 hour session. At first, Stamp weighed in just over the limit of 115lbs but thankfully had time left to return back and make weight and pass her hydration test. Now she’s set to faceoff Ham Seo Hee for ONE Fight Night 14.
Xiong Jiang Nan Misses Weight at ONE Fight Night 14
While Stamp just escaped missing weight, Xiong Jiang Nan did not have the same fate. She couldn’t pass multiple hydration tests for her Special Rules bout with Nat Wondergirl Jaroonsak, ultimately making their fight a Catchweight fight.
There were a few other close calls with hydration tests and weight with John Lineker, Stephen Loman, and Jessa Khan, however all of them ultimately passed to proceed with their bouts for.
ONE Fight Night 14 Ceremonial Face-offs
The athletes all were announced and had their opportunity to face-off prior to the big fight night. The arena was filled with excitement and power as each fighter stood strongly, ready to defend their name and leave everything in the circle.
Some highlights include the main headlining MMA World Championship Title fight between Stamp Fairtex vs. Ham Seo Hee. Danielle Kelly and Jessa Khan also went head to head with growing tension before their second time facing each other on the mats.
