ONE Fight Night 15: Top 5 Moments

ONE Fight Night 15 did not disappoint. Once again, ONE delivered amazing match-ups with knockouts and exciting fights throughout the night. We’ve compiled our Top 5 Moments for you with videos included!

1. Thanh Le Submits Ilya Freymanov in Near Perfect Ryan Hall 50/50 Style

Thanh Le is a well-rounded MMA beast with a strong background in Taekwondo and a BJJ Black Belt from Ryan Hall. Going into the fight, we had a feeling his grappling experience would work to his advantage against Ilya and it did just that. In just 62 seconds Thanh Le ended up in a leg entanglement that resulted in a near perfect execution of Ryan Hall’s textbook 50/50 guard. Thanh Le secured the heel hook and claimed his Interim MMA World Championship Title Belt. Next we imagine he hopes to face Tang Kai who is the reigning MMA World Championship Title holder and had to withdraw from his fight with Le due to injury.

2. Mikey Musumeci Submits Shinya Aoki via Aoki Lock

Mikey Musumeci secured yet another victory at ONE Championship against the MMA legend, Shinya Aoki. The bout lasted just 3:05 minutes when Mikey submitted Shinya via footlock, otherwise known as the Aoki Lock after Shinya Aoki developed the move. This was tough to watch the move being done on the man that actually created the move. We’re excited to see who ONE lines up for Mikey next and are optimistic that we will get a proper Jiujiteiro matchup. Currently, he’s slated to face Demetrious Johnson in December – for more info, click here!

3. Jonathan Di Bella Defends Kickboxing World Championship Title at ONE Fight Night 15

Jon Di Bella remains undefeated in his kickboxing career with a new record of 12-0. While Danial “Mini-T” Williams definitely gave him a good fight, and almost knocked him out at one point, Di Bella remained calm and focused throughout the whole fight and ultimately defended his Kickboxing World Championship Title by a win via unanimous decision. We look forward to seeing both Jon and Mini-T in the circle again as they both put on a great show.

4. Hiroyuki Tetsuka Submits Jin Tae Ho via Armbar

Hiroyuki was confident in his capabilities and strong wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu background leading up to the fight with Jin Tae Ho. This was Hiroyuki and Jin’s first fight in about a year so both fighters were eager to prove themselves in the circle. In 4:45 seconds in the first round, Hiroyuki outsmarted Jin on the ground and ultimately submitted his opponent via armbar.
