ONE Fight Night 14, Singapore – In our bustling media day for ONE Fight Night 14, Stamp Fairtex came dancing into the media room full of jokes and smiles. In preparation for her upcoming headliner fight with Ham Seo Hee for the MMA World Championship Title, Stamp’s day was filled with interviews, camera crews, and conversation about her opportunity to make history. Stamp Fairtex is prepped to fight one of the biggest fights of her life at ONE Fight Night 14 as she is chasing after her 3rd sport World Championship Title.
Stamp Fairtex Aims to “Use Muay Thai Skills and Beat Her”
When we asked Stamp how she’d like the fight to go and she proudly explained that she “wants it to be a knockout.” She believes that with her strong striking skills she can “use [her] elbow” and “use [her] Muay Thai skills” in order to get the submission.
She’s also expanded her skillset to be a more rounded MMA athlete by practicing Jiu-Jitsu every day. She laughed as she explained that while she wants to train with a gi, she hates how “heavy and hot” they are so she ultimately prefers rolling no-gi.
Stamp Fairtex Wants to “Be Better” Everyday
As Stamp is striving to make history, she explained how much it would mean to her to be “the first woman to achieve the three sport World Champion Title.” She expressed her gratitude to her family and said that in everything she does, her “family drives [her].” Each and every day as she trains she does it to “be better as a person and to improve [her]self.” Talking to Stamp, it was hard to not feel her deep passion for the sport, to grow as a person, and to set a positive image for young girls.
ONE Fight Night 14: Historic All-Female Led Card
This All-Female Headlined Card is set to be a historic event for the organization and the incredible women fighters representing martial arts. Stamp took pride in being a part of the event and to be able to represent women in the sport. She explained that she “would love for women to train martial arts so they can defend themselves.” She talked about being able to practice martial arts and having passion in it no matter what and that for whatever young girls aspire to do, “they should have passion.”
