Chatri Speaks on UFC vs ONE Championship Fighters
In the media scrum after ONE Fight Night 14, Chatri spoke on the quality of UFC fighters’ athletic skills in comparison to ONE fighters and explained that “UFC is very sloppy, mediocre ‘ish’ striking.” Chatri is largely comparing this to his roster of primarily Muay Thai fighters that have very high-level striking. He continued in his explanation by saying that the “typical UFC fighter is a D-1 college wrestler, 7-0 in a, you know, the minor leagues” and ultimately, “that’s why you see a lot of sloppy Jiu-Jitsu, a lot of sloppy low level striking.”
Chatri confidently explained that in regards to Martial Arts across the board (Muay Thai, MMA, Kickboxing, and Grappling) that “bar none we have the most exciting experience for fans around the world.”
