Garry Tonon made his MMA debut at ONE Championship against Iron Will in Bangkok, but not Garry’s first time in an octagon! Garry Tonon has been training with legendary Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach John Danaher for nearly a decade. He had been preparing for his MMA debut for a long time! Shinya Aoki already had a legendary 50 matches before facing off with the Lion Killer, Garry Tonon.
Tonon officially debuted with the One Championship in May 2017, although it was a grappling match, he was going against MMA fighter and submission grappler Shinya Aoki of Japan.
