Hailing from Taiwan, by way of Austin, Texas, Jozef Chen is a brown belt under the tutelage of Craig Jones at B-Team Jiu-Jitsu. He has affiliations with Wutong, Method MMA, and Absolute MMA. Despite emerging seemingly out of nowhere, Chen has swiftly garnered global recognition for his legit approach in the No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu competition circuit.
Chen’s expertise has been in demand as he’s been invited to teach Jiu-Jitsu seminars spanning across the United States and various international destinations including Thailand, Shanghai, Singapore, and Sydney, among others. His teachings cover a diverse array of BJJ techniques, ranging from guard passing to wrestling up, butterfly sweeps, and wrestling hand fighting for No-Gi.
Describing his Jiu-Jitsu style as “efficient, effective, and appropriate,” Chen draws inspiration from a cadre of figures in the grappling world, such as John Danaher, Gordon Ryan, Craig Jones, Nicky Ryan, Brian Glick, and Jason Rau.
Jozef Chen’s grappling accolades include 3rd place finish in the ADCC Oceania and Asian Trials 2022 Professional Division, along with 1st place spot in the WNO Superfight 2022.
